Felt terrific throughout the participation of Zoorific and was dying to blog about it,
and my enthusiasm had totally died down after 3 days... wtf...
Blame it on procrastination.
Note: Photos below have gone through Photoshop (otherwise stated) while waiting for photobucket's maintenance.
I know, I spend my time on the right things. *sarcasm*
*Backlog of Choc Fair*
My haul from choc fair; cost me RM2 per piece lllorz
Taken at one of the display booths of a bridal fair(?) right next to choc fair.
Zoorific:
So, us girls (consisting of Chloe, Rhu, Evonne, and Minyi ) were sent to the bird farm for duty during the Zoorific activity.
Frankly speaking, I was only anticipating birds that were the size of, say: parrots, horn bill, owls, etc etc.
I had totally forgotten that THIS...
...is also under the birds' category.
Meet the Emu!
First reaction seeing it was....
"No owls? dammit. I wanted to go to snakes D':"
But it was fun too.
fun raking dry leaves throughout half the day >={
Eevonn, Rhu, and Minyi in action!
On the other hand, Scouts from Sentul area as well as Leos' from KDU were volunteering at the same time in the Zoo!
And trust me, boy were they shocked when they realized we had to pay to volunteer.
A: "WHAT?! OMG B! THEY PAID TO VOLUNTEER!!"
B: "SERIOUS??"
=____=;;
Anyhow, it was nice since we get to get up close to the Emus
Haha! Right into your faces, those who paid and can only see them animals from a distance, suckerss! xDD!
And also get our photos taken while we were raking dry leaves within the compound.
*depicted scenario*
boy:"mama, what animals are those? the ones in black T-shirts and holding rakes?"
*end of scenario*
Parrot from the Bird Farm~
Its got really really beautiful feathers.
Another parrot from the parrot family.
*pun intended*
An eagle owl!
I'm guessing its a Buffy Fish-owl, but then again, I may be wrong. =/
Chloe and Minyi posing with their proud-masterpiece *coughs*
Food for the birds.
This has got to be one of the cutest dangerous animal- Porcupine! xD!!
Group photo (with one of the trainer(?) from Bird Farm)
Volunteers who are coincidentally from UTAR!
Super surprise!
Group photo of Zoorific 6 volunteers!
(Snagged from Raleigh's facebook page)
Of course, after a day's labour, we should award ourselves righttt? =D
The motley crew that went all the way to Puchong for Shabu-Shabu while stinking of sweatand possibly animal poop on our shoes. =x
Quite worth the money, considering its a Buffet-styled steamboat.
Shall try out the other Shabu-shabu over at 101 Mall area if chance permits.
All in all, I'm happy I went and did it!
Its definitely worth it; the experiences and the chance to expand your horizons.
I'd better end this post now. Til the next time~
