Just realized I labeled 2010 as the year of Awesomeness in the past blogpost / first blog post of 2010...

Am looking back through the blogposts and reminiscing back on the events that took place on the months before stepping into a new chapter...

So here goes...

January

Zoorific, Choc and bridal fair, completion of thesis.

February

Learnt not to wear heels and run on stony grounds, went to Kampachi after 2+years, went back to awesome Penang for Chinese New Year celebration and had a wonderful gathering with my favourite bunch... But was pretty much a fucked up month...

March

Shipped JR off to NS, went Laundry and Library with crazy classmates, threw a surprise bday celebration for Ni, went to Mist as VIPs thanks to Fly FM.

April

Went back to Penang for a short trip which pretty much turned bitter, met up with Taman Sea gang for a much-needed yum char session, kick started my final- finals as a degree undergraduate.

May

Continuation and ending of my degree life, had awesome Korean food @ Maru, had awesome full-gathering/last dinner with classmates, learnt that one can eat from morning to morning if one wants to via 4D3N Penang trip wtf, celebrated XL's bday, started K-workers 10-day fun workshop.

June

Went to cheer for Princess Barbie's competition, dropped by Urbanscapes, took part in a photography competition and was announced as a consolation winner, WHICH was later denounced.... apparently they made a mistake fml... Not interested anymore.

July

Went Zouk for 2nd time- 1st was for the L'oreal Event in 2009, attended Clinique's star tour for fun, officially started my working life.

August

Adjusting to my working life wtf... No idea what happened to August seriously...

September

Went to Pahang to see elephants and eat some durian tarts and bombs wtf.

October

Celebrated Rhu's bday., Hennessy Artistry hell ya babehhh~! ... And erm.... cannot remember...

November

The month where I'm super broke, celebrated my bday, more continuation of dramas and emergence of new dramas wtf...

December

Where I'm even MORE broke.... Outings with Taman Sea gang, went MOS/Euphoria for the final time cause ~~I got fucking groped by some fucktard~~ that aside, not much of hunks/MY dictionary of eye candies, went Genting with Hamtaro and his family plus TY and got the sickness wheeee, was harassed by a fucking retarded pervert on the road while I was driving to work...

So I spent the last day of December with my bottle of cough syrup and medications, bathed the dogs, and cleaned the cars.

Alright, I shall name 2011 as cleanup year wtf.

Anyways, thanks for the year and memories of 2010, even though there were too many dramas and shits happening, I appreciate those small little things that made me happy and forget the moment.

Thank you very much.

And now I shall sleep cause I've been having difficulties keeping my eyes open to type this...

A very thick-faced post ahead.

So I suddenly realize I have no life.

Well, not entirely on the 'suddenly' part, truth be told, I has no life fml...

Managed through another chapter of my life and have passed the legal age now....

Acknowledging the coming of new figures to my life...

This is one happie/curious JR over the bday cake...

Guess who has a watch that's expensive max...

Its not that I'm not happy .... But is this really necessary? And thinking bout the story behind the watch no doubt pisses me off....

Anyhow, had a fun yum cha session with Tracy dai jie and Naclos @ Cheras and relived our childhood memories.

You need lots of guts to be playing this with Tracy dai jie, seriously...

I really miss hanging out and socializing.... But I'm really too tired by the time I'm done with the day...

Is this how I'm gonna end up for the next 10 years of my life? I hope not!

I still want to go backpack around Europe for a minimum 3 months!! America's in the list as well!!

And because I have the right to be a self-loving person and fully utilize my camera and...er.... looks *cringe* I can has self loving photos wtf!

So, I've had complaints my blog's been pretty dead... It's cause I'm pretty caught up with life and all.... Not much interesting stuffs to blog about anyways.... =x

Anyhow, went on a day trip to Karak for makan and Lanchang for some elephants.

Yes! People. Elephants!

Bet cha don't know bout them elephants... Nor did I..

Soooo..... Without further ado, Let's see some food >=D

They have a shop in TTDI (Taman Tun Dr Ismail), but I think I'll prefer the old shop more =)

According to the restaurant owner, whom gave us the photos by the way (so nice of him), Japanese tourists will call them to book for when to see the flowers at its full bloom; and the flowers will wither after 4-5 days. Malaysian cherry blossoms lol!

Activities are all free, including video shows on issues affecting the elephant habitat, elephant show, elephant rides, and bathing the elephants! How cool is that?

I just took off my overall/loose shirt/I-don't-know-what-to-call-it cause the place was really hot and I was sweating.

To be honest, this is just another fill-in post/ I'm-too-lazy-to-write-up-a-proper-entry post Dx

But I can say that I went to JR's friend's Pageant competition which was held all the way in Klang Parade... and then a lot of things came along and I think I'm gonna have a really bad sore throat from all the laughing....

Seriously. Their level of FUN is SO NOT my level of fun. Fun is an underestimation for their context of fun. Its called crazy. Like, crazy/psychotic/random moments all jumbled up and you have hours of crazy-laughing-sessions; to the point where your stomach is just gonna burst open if you laugh any further. That's how serious their FUN is.

Anyhow, shall update after I get my much needed sleep...

May Penang trip 2010- Day 4

Ok, Final spam on your dashboard if you're following me, I promise!

Day 4 marked the end of our Penang Makan Trip...
Of course there were still aplenty of makan spots that we failed to visit... what to do...

So anyways, we took the ferry back to mainland.

I know the photos are not relevant to ferries or the sea, but we were just a bunch of self-loving people who happened to be on the ferry =DD!

Upon arriving at Butterworth, I took them to another famous spot that has REALLY GOOD Curry fish head babehhh~ XD!
Those who read my blog entry would know which one I'm referring to =DD!

Best Yam rice, seriously!

After that, we went to have Ba Kut Teh.
Wanted to let them try the white Ba Kut Teh, as the normal ones are black in color, but sadly the owner decided to stop serving it in the branch in Butterworth D=
Anyhow, we had Ba Kut Teh, and headed over to another shop for famous Kuey Teow Soup in Butterworth, known as 7th street Kuey Teow Soup. XD!
If you're wondering why no photos, that's because we focused a lot on the food and forgot. *shifty eyes*

Anyhow, went to Pacific Mall in Seberang Prai for arcades again, and to drop off Rachel.
And ended up munching again...

And basically that's the end to the 4days 3nights Penang eating trip.
All I could remember clearly was the fact that we stuffed ourselves literally...

Another thing would be....
the much loved MAN-bird!

Thank you very much for accompanying us on this crazy trip, and for letting us abuse and deciding on your gender and name as MAN-bird when you're clearly a LADY-bird.

nah, just kidding.

Jokes aside, thank you to every one of you for making this possible and making this trip seriously crazy, ~~and putting on weight together~~ =DDD!!!!

Hope that the Seremban Crab trip will be able to come true as well, and then we can has crazy moments once more~!

And so, this wraps up the whole of May Penang trip~!

And as a summary to those who are planning to go to Penang:

1. Be prepared as 4days 3 nights is DEFINITELY NOT ENOUGH for an eating-trip, unless you wanna risk having indigestion, try to lengthen your stay if possible.

2. Tune Hotels can be considered as an option as it is quite central, convenient, and its budget. I don't see the point of renting a room for more than RM150 per night when you'll be out most of the time. And mind you, I don't get any commission for saying this =)!

3. Bring enough money! You'll end up using more than you expect. Seriously D=

More like its so behind now that its turned into backlogging.... *face palm*

Anyhow, Day 3 started off with...

More goofing around in the room before departure wtf.

Day 3 marked the shop-til-you-drop-dead day.
Where the main agendas of the day would be Gurney and Prangin Mall.

But of course, how could we start off a day without filling up our stomachs first? D=

The restaurant we chose to dine in...

The reason?

Nice and pretty interior to take selcas wtf. *shamefully faces palm*

And of course, as expected, shops were already closing by the time we arrived.

Not satisfied that the day should end just like that, I decided to drag the whole bunch to eat Curry noodles in Butterworth.

Managed to drag out my martian friend last minute, and shamefully he didn't know bout the existence of the Curry noodle stall wtf...

The stall only operates during the evening and usually is open til 3am? I think...
Its quite famous around the area for its side-curry dishes as well.

After stuffing the curry noodles into the black hole, finally headed back to the hotel on the Island to freshen up and rest.

Seriously. The Penang trip was all about stuffing oneself til we were about to puke.... Totally overdid it...

Anyhow, it was a wonderful memory that I'd never forget...

May Penang trip 2010- Day 2

Kick started the morning with more silly photos in the room.
But its not gonna end up here =D.

So anyways, we dropped by my uncle's place for noodles~

And then decided to head down to Ke Lok Si Temple once more.

These bunch of sampats got bored and started playing with the camera...

...while I was driving all along. I see more of these photos of myself in the album seriously.

The sun was seriously scorching hot on that day I think we all nearly died from dehydration...

We bought our tickets and were waiting to board the cable car to the top.

The fishes here also damn aggressive one.

The statue of Goddess of Mercy... which was closed for construction purposes at that time... =(

After leaving Ke Lok Si Temple,
we headed off to Penang Hill, only to realize that it is STILL closed for reconstruction/upgrading purposes.

So, headed off to pay respect to my mother at her place of rest,
then went to Kimberly street for makan,
But no photos of those cause we gobbled up everything that was on the table before we remembered to snap a couple of photos...

After that, we went to another makan spot which was just further down on the same road.

Hokkien-noodles. I love~!

Intermission whatturff...

No worries, the two big plates were shared among 4-very-stuffed people.

Next up would be the famous Penang Road Cendol~!

Then, we decided to head back to the mainland for more makan and also air-condition lllorz...

But before more eating, we went to the arcade to burn off some excess =P

After that, we decided to head back to the Island to freshen up. Decided to take the ferry instead and since it was quite empty at that hour...

We were having fun acting stupid again.... =D

And then... we decided to throw a surprise early-bday party for Rachel, at Neway, Queensbay Mall.
Seriously. The next time I wanna go for karaoke in Penang, I'd prefer Neway.
Its new, Good Sound system, and nice and friendly services =D

May Penang trip 2010- Day 1

I think we left round 10 in the morning.

Was dead tired cause I slept for only 'bout an hour plus the night before...

The two pretty ladies in my car.

And I still managed to take selcas every now-and-then =x

And then there was all the singing and talking throughout the journey, with a very annoying uncle constantly snapping photos.

Then we I decided to rest a little at Tapah Rest house.
Had to take a break to take a munch...

... and acting stupid in public.

And then we finally arrived at our destination by 3pm.

Had to eat proper Brunch before we check into the hotel on the Island, so we dropped by Butterworth for my must-eat hot spots!

Its very new and well-maintain as far as I know.
I'm happy with the rooms and services. =)!

The thing was, we initially intended to go Ke Lok Si Temple, but I forgot to check the closing time and guess who had to postpone the trip D=

Anyhow, we got to have a nice dinner there =)

Went back to the hotel after dinner and were talking nonsense.
And while they were laughing out loud while watching White Chicks, I was listening to their laughter well into the night while trying to get some sleep.

That's all for Day 1, which was not as hectic or packed as compared to the remaining days throughout the Penang trip.

Ok, I'm gonna kong-out soon right after this speedy post.
Came back from Penang on Tuesday night and rushed to prepare my ~~brat~~sister's bday present for her.

And yes, Penang post will be postponed for now.
Too much to talk about and I'm really tired. *face palm*

First row is the necklace, Second row is where the pendant is in.

The pendant that cost me a bomb. The newspaper-wrapped package is where the necklace was hidden, and I hid it in my Panda box.

So here's the thing.
I wrote up papers with instructions that XL must follow before she gets her bday present.
And we gave a hell-of-a-time before handing out the paper/clues to her; she was fed-up and frustrated btw =D

This is where she received the final clue, which was the paper with the word めいじ.
I miscalculated and she was damn smart; asked ~~変体の爺~~Uncle Vyeo to translate via MSN *face palm*

So she got it correct and was super gleeful by the time she discovered the box.

And then frustration built up.

And this is where you see an unhappy-XL...

...when she discovered the necklace and 3-puny Kopikos in it.
And she went on complaining on how cheap-skate it was...

And then I went on to tempt her with a box of sweets, which was where the REAL present (pendant) was in, which was in my pocket the whole time.
Initially she didn't want it anymore after all the frustration in the past hour, but thanks to the rest of the family's cooperation, and the low-resistant towards temptations of her's, curiosity killed the cat, I'd say. =x

Ok, so driving for 4 days with little sleep is a baaaaddd idea.

Went to a Korean Restaurant yday night to celebrate Mother's day with lady boss and family.

Maru in Angkasupuri, Mon't Kiara.

I like the Siu Mai, didn't take a close up cause I popped it into my mouth.

I think this is the mix rice/fried rice I'm not sure. D=

And dinner only cost RM220. Cheap, no?

I have been procrastinating... seriously.
This place has turned into deadman's land with the lack of alphabets dancing around.

mid terms ended quite a while ago, but somehow, I'm still occupied with other stuffs which I don't even know what they are wtf.

Intended to post up the long-promised Toy Museum blog post, but photobucket is acting up and allowing 2 uploads at a time, and the photos from toy museum are like, 117 photos in total..... If I were to continue, it'd really be a fml situation...

So I guess it'd be postponed to an undefined period and March updates are up first.

With one sip of this, I decided its the end of my relationship with 'BOSS'.

Okaie, so I promised a Penang-post but upon sorting out the materials, aka the photos, I realized....
It must be split to at least two different posts.
Other wise you guys will probably curse me for all the image heavy posts....

A must have while you're in Penang due to its specialty and also the weather.

But before we proceed to the Penang post, allow me to share with you guys what I experienced today, or shall I say a further confirmation of how important these things are.

You see, without these two, everyone's lives would be all messed up. Agree?

Example.

My Ptptn loan.
I finally called up Ptptn to inquire regarding my loan, cause all my kakis' had already used up half of theirs' already and mine still hasn't come...

Which brings me to another thing- phone machines. I. Hate. Them. Period.
The worst experience with phone machines/operators was when I was calling up my Uni, regarding my loan problem as well, and they literally sent me here and there, made me hang on to the line til the the line died on me. wtf. And I was calling all the way from my home. Phone calls are definitely not cheap here like dur......

Anyways, back to today's lesson. So, when the phone operator finally picked up, and upon checking my supposed-eligibility for this final loan, they said I am not eligible.
Why?
I failed my previous semester.
Wtf?
I SO did not.
Who said so?
The Uni.
*glares*

So you see, this is how one's fault could cause another to suffer. And I'm suffering financially right now cause I paid my fees with mah moneh and Imma super broke like now..... fml.

And another lesson learnt regarding the importance of good management and system has to do with this.

Taken some time in January while Rhu honey was driving us to KL for a supposed-surprise bday party which I never got around to post.

that just made me think bout some really..... Ironic events/incidents.

Just to show you how my bangs became M-shaped throughout the day. Oh the mystery...

So here's the thing, being the kan-cheong person that I am when it comes to driving personally to a venue for the first time, I tend to think pessimistically (ie: road situations and accidents[various context applicable here] ) and suggested that we leave 1 (or was it 2) hours earlier.
As usual, things tend to pop up right before I leave and I was late(again!) for at least 30 mins (or was it 45 again?). So anyways, it was pouring cats and dogs when I finally left the house, loaded my car, and started our journey in search of Equatorial Bangi...which was surprisingly FAST with just a couple of turns fml...
So we all ended up 1 & 1/2 hours earlier..... fol....
So what do we do when we're THAT early and when there's a photogenic surroundings?
Pretty much a no-brainer question hur hur....

Anyhow, life has been.... not entirely great nor awesome, but I still manage to live through somehow.

Hadn't been in the right mind to be blogging about the recent events, but I guess it'll pass.
Somehow I just need to clear my minds off certain things and then slap myself back to my studies.
I suppose its pretty much the time for me to be thinking about my future: career.

I used to think I could still rely on tomorrows to ponder about the big C but then again, it's about time already.

On another note, my laptop turned 1-year-old on Feb 14th~!

So, us girls (consisting of Chloe, Rhu, Evonne, and Minyi ) were sent to the bird farm for duty during the Zoorific activity.

Frankly speaking, I was only anticipating birds that were the size of, say: parrots, horn bill, owls, etc etc.
I had totally forgotten that THIS...

...is also under the birds' category.

But it was fun too.

All in all, I'm happy I went and did it!
Its definitely worth it; the experiences and the chance to expand your horizons.

Not much of makan photos in Thailand though, cause most of the time when Tom Yam was involved, you can be sure that not one drop is gone to waste >=DD.

And also, I'd like to point out some things that were learnt while I was in Thailand.

We went mad when we saw the 7-eleven there.
I mean, who on planet Earth spends 30-60minutes + getting amazed at every corner of a small convenience store?

Ok, who's idea was it again to take candid shots of us eating the sausages outside 7E ="=;;

attended a workshop on ethics,

took pre-grad photos with my dearest classmates,
literally swallowed 3 topics within 4 hours' time
for mid term,
on that faithful black friday a motorbike ramped into my car door,

Sorry to start off the post with such a negative remark, but seriously, I'm just not myself right now, and feeling very emo due to all the things that are going on at the moment, and am seriously feeling the stress now.

Life so far has been great... how I wish I could actually say that. I mean, its not bad, its just that things are really packed and hectic, far more hectic than it was.

Yes, its that time again, the time when the fog thickens and blurs my vision once more.
I am so sick of trying to find my way in this labyrinth over and over again. Might as well getting a GPS for my life. But then again, what does the GPS stand for in the context of my life?

Not only its a 13-minute drawing, it was also an experiment with various medias including eye shadow.

Took me hours to do this cause I'm so out of touch.

One of the motivator to go back home, my handsome 老夫子.

For the one week that I was back home, which was also super unexpected and hyper last minute kind of decision, I was still recuperating from the after effects of an event known to many as final examinations.
By the final 2 papers, I was already beyond any average homo sapien, feeling like a literal ghoul.
So anyways, I spent about 3-4 days of my 1-week stay in my comfort zone at home.
No virtual holy-land-visiting.
No movies/TV staring.
No yum cha sessions.
Just me and the 4 walls of the room.
Which was exactly what I needed.

Then after getting better, had the chance to meet up with my friends, who'd always remind me of how life should really go on despite what a pain it is.

And then I went on to tidy some of my old junks and found some precious memories buried under the pile of garbage. Yes I'm a full time garbage collector.

It is with much pain and regret, that I have to say, these no longer exist in my collection of garbage. These are my treasure of all time, and I had to throw them away since my dad wanted me to clear up some of my old stuffs. I had a hold of these books when I started taking Piano lessons, yes, they are piano books.
Not only were they part of the reason why I got attracted to art (come on, who can resist the cute drawings on the cover?), they also reminded me of my mom, who always accompanied me during my piano lessons.

This is a CNY card which I think I received from a dear friend of mine during Form 1/2, and it made me LOL-ed the whole day. I mms-ed her the photo and she too had forgotten all about what she had written, or about the card for that matter.

I think this was Form 2/3? A time when I was SOO hooked onto anime and even spread the bug to my friends at school, and ended up sacrificing an exercise book to write up a review on animes which we like during that time.

I also would like to say that, I love sunsets.
Yes, sunrises are pretty too, but I love sunsets more.
And to me, sunsets back at home are the best.

Gosh, its only been 2 weeks and I'm already starting to miss home once again.

Inspiration only comes during the hours of the dead; a time where drowsiness hit the hardest, and yet your hand just move on its own with a blurry picture in mind, trailing the movements of the songs played at the moment, and for the moment.

And because I do not have creativity, I just have to rely on the vague path that I see in my vision, trailing -with my hands and my faithful-ol' buddy- the melody that's playing; the song of the moment.

For however the song's path may affect the blurry vision of the moment, the blank paper will turn into a magnificent individual of its own, unique in its ways, a deviant of the lot of whites.

Now won't you agree with me, that a piece of white paper is the playground for wild imaginations? A place where 'they' are, and you just have to discover them. ♥ ♥ ♥

What a big difference 7 hours can make.
By the time my final paper ended, I was as pessimistic as someone who's about to jump off a building. Literally.
Plus the lethargy wasn't helping a single bit.

Really, lethargy + emoness = something REALLY scary.

Then, because lady boss had already said to go celebrate in the evening -considering me, her, and JR having examinations on the same day, and also to celebrate the end of her assignment-last-min-rush- We had a superbly ~~expensive~~ wonderful dinner!

And to think that I was actually so dead pessimistic+emo+lethargic that I actually intended to pass on this offer, thank god for going through the whole ordeal - considering the pain I was going through, both physical and mentally.

So, I woke up at 5 to "break fast". Kidding.
I woke up at 5 to do my continuation of super-crash-MA-session, kicked start with my good-old-exam ~~junk food~~ buddy, Cintan instant noodles.

Then it was super crash session. And then the rest of the day was spent at Uni until the end of the exam, headed back and started staring at the laptop, watching at my husband performing, singing, and dancing; hoping to lighten up my zombie-esque mood.

Then at 8.30pm, the journey to my buka puasa begins....

I'll let the photos do the talking, and mind you, they were all taken with my funky little Nokia Supernova, which is only equipped with a 2MP camera. So please excuse the poor-yet-unique quality you're about to see.

I love camwhoring with street lights. It gives a very unique effect to the photos.

But I guess its no rush considering that I won't be getting it anytime near soon with my funds running low.

Seriously, without the holy-virtual-merry land, I'd SO FREAKING DIE! On a literal note.

Also, am currently working hard on my studies- considering that finals' just, what, 2 weeks away? (;_;) *bawls my eye balls out*
And also working hard on a special something for a special someone.

Oh wait, its not just ONE thing, still working on the multiple stuffs to give to the special someone, which I doubt would be any better than the ones I received of.

Once upon a time..

... when I was still pretty much a little brat. I had a simple dream.

A dream where

I OWN ALL THE LEGO IN THE WORLD.
Until Barbie came into the picture, of course, cause the other kids were all playing Barbie dolls.

Why lego?

Thanks to my thoughtful parents, who must've thought of it as a toy that'll increase creativity rather than playing with toys that make you hallucinate of a made up simple-brained-story, got a fat-ass set of legos as my 4th/5th birthday present.

And boy can I say, its still here up til now. XD!

It survived the wear and tear throughout the past >15years, definitely not without missing a few pieces every now and then. =/

Its the only toy that had tested against the times.

How so?

1. Its a hand-me-down among my siblings.
I played it- lost a few pieces.
My sister played it- lost another few pieces.
My brother is STILL playing with it- lost TONS of it.

2. My other big-gigantic soft toys never survived.
Either they were thrown away due to my health conditions, or the innerds, a.k.a cotton, were dug out by my 'cute' little sister >=((

3. My Barbies are ALWAYS thrown away.
Cause I never tidy up after I play, and that pisses off my dad pretty much.

And not to mention, due to the sets of lego I have, I became interested, and I mean VERY interested, in the art of dismantling and assembling stuffs. Especially furnitures.

To quote uncle Vyeo when I was assembling my OWN table (FINALLY!) the other day:

Yes, I had fun.
I always find it fun to be able to put parts together and turn them into something useful.

Doesn't that just make me a weirdo?
XD Who cares!

I'M HAVING FUN AT IT.

Of course, as to the set of lego, I still play it gleefully when I'm back at home.

I'd turn all the pirates and pilots into a bunch of gays, just cause the one-and-only female lego had been long gone.

真的很累。

越来越不懂得，自己到底是为了什么走下这条路。

到底是为了谁，为了什么原因，而奋斗到如今。

完完全全的迷失方向。

以前还可以说，忍多几年就没事了。现在完全已经是越来越没有心情。

好想就这样躺着躺着，消灭。

真的觉得很累很累，泪也快要哭干了，真的好辛苦。

但是这种感受又能向谁说？

说得了吗？完全就说不出来嘛。。。

完全不懂得该怎么去真真的打从心地对待明天。

现在我需要的是时间，而时间是我所没能拥有的宝物。

真的很恨我自己没拥有勇气去恨恨的拒绝。

Before I start another long post on how my life was for the past few days, thought I might just have a fun try at posting up DIY cooking. xD

Of course, everyone has their own way of cooking, but there's no harm in me doing it my way,right? =D

So here goes!

Fried Rice
ala cincai-style xD!!

What you need to do :

1. Put away all distractions

In my case its this hot-dog who'll be walking around in the kitchen in search for food on the floor.
2. (my case) turn on some songs <3
Was listening to 蘇打绿 (Soda Green) songs. They're lovely!

Ingredients:

1. Some greens
2. Onion
3. Carrot
4. (finely chopped)Basil leaves
5. Garlic
6. Spring onion
7. Eggs
8. Rice ( Best if its overnight rice )
9. Oil
10. Salt
11. Pepper
12. Sesame seed oil

Note: Ingredients differ for individual preferences

Tralala~ Let's begin our cincai-style fried rice!

1st

Prep egg with salt, pepper and sesame seed oil!
Then beat away~
p/s:Somehow the photo doesn't do the awesome combination justice =/

2nd

Heat wok, put in oil!
Note: Don't be stingy! Fried rice= oily food
You have to put in enough oil or your rice will stick to the wok.
And do pay attention on the amount of heat/fire you on- not too big, not too small.

3rd

Throw in onion and garlic.

4th

Put in carrot.
Note: I put in carrots this early because I like 'em soft.

5th

Put in rice.
Note: reason why overnight rice is preferred is because they're not as soggy as freshly cooked rice. Thus the fried rice won't be all soggy and the rice would be fried wholly.

6th

Put in Greens.
Note: I know some may say the vitamins in the greens would've been destroyed if I put them in this early, but that's just my way of cooking. =)

7th

Put in the (finely chopped)Basil leaves.
Note: Add salt into the rice before adding in the eggs if you want to.

8th

Put in eggs.

And stir away~

Note: At this point, adding eggs will make your rice soggy, so you need to make sure your fire's big enough to ensure that the egg's thoroughly cooked WITHOUT making your rice stick to the wok. Also, continually stir the rice from time to time.

Final

Once the rice is less soggy, off the fire. This is because its time to eat~
Put spring onion on top and ready to serve~!

And just to show you the importance of the equation:
Enough oil + Fire Control =

Less time spent on cleaning up the wok.

Fried rice = life.

Why so?

There's no one way to fry rice, you can be spontaneous and just throw in whatever you have in your fridge or your food-storage. Of course make sure they're edible stuffs.

Also, depending on the ingredients you put in, they affect the taste a lot.
So ingredients are like the means you choose to get to your destination.

Put in Basil leaves and you'll get basil-fragance in your rice.
Put in strawberries and you'll get..... I don't know....(="=);;

Also the oil and fire control.
How would one know about how much oil is enough? Or how big a fire is needed?

Its all down to trial and error.

So in life, there'll always be ups and downs.
Don't be pessimistic about life.
Its ok to be depressed once in a while, but still, one will have to MOVE ON!

To JR,You should really do this post while you're at your baking xD! This is fun!

I hate myself for not being able to do things not in the last minute manner.

I hate myself for procrastinating so much to the point that I just sit there worrying and taking no actions.

I hate myself for not being disciplined enough to stay focus on priorities.

I hate myself for the pea-sized brain that I have which cannot possibly handle the large capacities of data required to be stored in it for examinations and also assignments.

And I also hate myself for not being able to generate inspiration and ideas rather than waiting for it to come to me.

But one thing's for sure.

I definitely love how I can rant here despite the pile of endless work ahead.

Hyper LONG POST ahead!

Wasn't able to update on how interesting my life had been so far due to ~~the never ending torture at Uni that is known as~~ mid terms.

So here's one hell of a long-friggin' post that is accompanied by photos too!
And they sure took up plenty of processing time.

Here's a snap at what my July is like so far...

1st July:

Attended a talk in conjunction with Utar's CWW week which was held in the PJ branch and took a jab of Gardasil and also went for a mini health check up. Saw Uncle Chicken there who was in charge of the....diabetic test booth? xD!

Surprisingly, there were many students who participated in the talk and even guys asked questions! But yea, its not like its embarrassing or a taboo to ask stuffs about girls, guys need to know them too!

3rd July:

Already had plans to meet up with my dearest Rhu Rhu for Transformers initially but wasn't able to make it due to Organizational Development mid term =((

And seriously, what he said is true... Everytime ~~not like we go there to meet him THAT often to begin with~~ we go there to see him we ended up at places like this...

And then Mr Max came, and since the place was really out of the question *for students like us* to dine in, we decided to drop by at another location for makan, making it our 3rd makan spot within hours.

6th July:

Finished up the second paper for mid term with tears and plenty of blood-lost, which was otherwise known as Financial Statement Analysis.

And came the highlight of the day/night.
Birthday(s) celebration.

Island Red Cafe in Mahkota Cheras, with the visible classmates standing by the railings or some who were fooling around at the back on the second floor.

Took some ~~actually plenty~~ of photos while waiting for the other lead role to arrive.

A drink that goes by the name, Fall in love. xD!

My orders- Fried Seafood Tofu and Mocha Ice blended.

And FINALLY the other lead role came, and the party began!

When the person is still alive, none really bothered about his achievements. Or worse, point fingers at him.

When the person dies, (nearly) EVERYONE goes everywhere looking for him.

Yes, the person I'm referring to currently is none other than the late Michael Jackson.

Its so obvious that the stalls in pasar malam don't even bother to display his (pirated version) albums and now? From the beginning to the end of the whole market, there's not a corner where you cannot hear his voice.

How ironic. The reason being they're giving him respect (eg: playing/ selling his albums-pirated) and yet not respecting him (eg:selling his songs illegally) at the same time.

Its really sad to see a great icon, who had and is STILL influencing all the generations of newcomers in every aspect- be it the entertainment industry, etc etc- to gain back the fame and attention only after his passing. =((

Poor soul. Sometimes even the dead is not left to rest in peace hur.... tsk tsk, people of today. *shakes head*

真想不到，天王已经往天堂迈进了，Michael Jackson在6月25日2009年离开人间了。

好难接受这事实，他可是在好多人的身活中都有重大的影响。

我还记得小时候，我非常非常喜爱听他的歌，学跳他的招牌舞蹈。

人生难测啊。。。真的一声不响就走了。。。

最可怜的应该是下个月要办最后的tour现在也办不成了吧？

真的好伤心。。。

有时候，人类就是这样，一旦失去了才懂得珍惜。

Also, went for a makan trip at meng tin at Taman Megah yesterday with my friend, Wei 姐(xD!), my sister, and JR, who was already there waiting.

Left Sg Long at 7pm, arrived destination at bout 8pm, left at 10+pm, arrived back at 11.30pm.

And here is how the table looked like after we ordered food xD!

I know. We seem like a bunch of dinosaurs-on-the-loose from the looks of the table. But hey! How often do we do it? xD!

I'm busy, I'm focused, but at the same time, I don't feel I've achieved much.

Assignments are back to haunt me, not to mention the mid terms which would be here soon. Sigh, why do I fail so bad at time management.

Anyways, an image heavy update on what I've done: the Penang trip in May, and also the not so recent L'oreal Studio Star Search event.

First up, the May events. Other than going out with friends, of course I could not possibly miss out on one thing I always do when I'm at home.

The one performance that made the whole floor excited xD! Very funny and entertaining- the beauty's the finalist whereas that guy's her dance partner, who is seriously hyper xD!!

All finalists strutting their stuff on stage for a talent segment, minus one performance, which was a ~~sexy~~chair dance. I'm sorry. If I post up the photos I took of her it'd not do her any justice.

And one conclusion from all the contributions of the finalists to the talent segment, Zouk is definitely not a place to sing in. 9.5 out of 10 times the PA system's not cooperative.

The winners of this season- walks away RM2000 richer and a one-year contract with L'oreal. Ben won the popular votes instead. =/

Then on 15th and 16th June, the Student Representative Committee at my Uni brought in the exhibition from Soka Gakkai Malaysia, titled
From a culture of violence to a culture of peace: Transforming the human spirit.
It is a really good exhibition, and I heard that other campuses/academic institutions are considering on bringing the exhibition in to do as well.
So people, do give your support and go have a look, you don't have to pay nor talk if you don't feel like talking. Just go and read the panels available and get a better understanding of what you don't or already have known.

plus this post is just gonna be one pictureless-boring post 'cause, I've been busy eating and sleeping to be bothered for any kodak-worthy-moments. lll orz

I know I suck.

But all I can say is that, I've pretty much covered 50% of my "Penang-food-to-eat" list, drove to Penang ~~and got lost~~ for a day trip-LITERALLY (so much for being a penangite and getting lost in Penang *slapself*).

Things that are not yet ticked-off the to-do list in Penang is:

1) drawing (impossible at the moment because I left my tools in Sg Long)
2) Movies
3) New spectacles
4) New mobile phone (the current one autonomically shut off on it's own)
5) anything else that I can think of when I do.

~~I don't know. I'm f-ing worried about my semester result, which still hasn't been released yet considering new term starts in ,what, week after next? =_=~~
I passed!

There's so many 'what-ifs' in my mind right now, and I'm surely thankful I am still able to sleep soundly here.

I love my butter a lot. surely my butter-worths a lot. xD!

p/s: for those who don't ~~already~~ know, I stay in Butterworth xD! *coughs*

Now I'll just have to figure out how to carry all my things back to Sg Long. But firstly, the bus ticket to KL.... lll orz

11th-13th May. Mabu+Kapalai+Sipadan trip

Heart pain, body pain, head pain; but I guess it was worth it. =/

Without further ado, let's proceed to the talking photos now shall we? =)

Day 1

We stayed at Sipadan Water Village (SWV), which was said to be one of the best resort there is in the place. And considering that the place is 15 years old, heck, it's quite well maintained!
Oh, and its au-natural. No TV, No air cond. Wanna use their computer to surf the net? Be prepared to pay RM10 for every 15 minutes. Even their newspapers are outdated.

And its also funny how -Sabah being known for its seafood- they kept serving us other dishes (eg: cheese, pastries, salad, lamb, etc) which were seriously NICE ~~cause I'm bias when it comes to cheese~~ and the only fish they serve would be ~~stinking~~ tuna.

Also, The staffs at SWV take good care of the environment around the island like planting corals, disposing of the wastes properly, etc etc; which was evident cause the amount of corals there are definitely more compared to another place we went to.

Day 2

The Village and the village kids, who were gleefully having fun with the jelly fishes.

Evening, after our snorkelling session ~~with the jelly fishes~~ in Kapalai. The two shadows are my Auntie and Uncle.

Day 2 marked my first take at snorkelling, which also marked my first jelly fish experience. =_=
And during our snorkelling trip in Kapalai ~~which was by the way not that pleasant due to all the jelly fishes~~, I saw fish bones. HUGE FISH BONES at the bottom of the sea near the kitchen of the resort there. The guide told us that the kitchen staff threw the bone back into the sea after cooking the edible parts, and the fishes in the sea were eating off the dead bone. What a sight =___=lll

Day 3

Our visit to Sipadan Island- or otherwise known as the DIVER'S HEAVEN. LOL!
No. Seriously.

We were damn lucky to be able to set foot on Sipadan Island. Why? Its limited to only 120 visitors per day. And we ~~noobish~~ snorkellers got to go there. Wakakakaka...

Even though we only went there for 3 hours, we saw turtles, sharks (YES!), schools of barracuda, jack fishes, florescent-blue fishes, plenty of HUGE corals, a load more of unknown ~~(to me)~~ fishes. ~~Oh! not forgetting the stinging from the tiny-microscopic-sized-jelly fishes.~~ =_=

No photos of those cause I don't own an underwater casing nor was I diving. Heck, I can't even swim properly. =_=

All in all, Sipadan Island IS a definite MUST to all divers. Not that the divers don't already know this fact =/

It's really scary from the surface, but its really really amazingly magical underneath.
It was also said that given maybe 10 years (or so) down the road, Sipadan Island may just vanish into the deep blue sea. Not sure if its true, but its gotta do with geography and I can't quite explain well. =/

Oh well. Its an unforgettable experience. I saw sharks. jelly fishes. Turtles. jelly fishes. Schools of fishes ~~while thinking if they were edible or not~~. jelly fishes. Loads of beautiful corals. jelly fishes. Loads of starfish. jelly fishes.

So I'm glad I went ~~and burnt a huge hole in my pocket~~. =)

Dead tired, thanks to the jelly fishes my whole body's seriously itchy, thanks to the trip I'm now officially 1.2k poorer. ~~there goes my dream dslr~~ And thanks to the trip, even though I'm on steady ground I still feel like I'm living in the water chalet. [Imagine yourself standing in the middle of the waves. You'll get what I mean.]

But all in all, it was worth it (?).

Shall talk about it in tomorrow's post. I'm just gonna try to sleep with the itch now. I'm dead tired considering the lack of sleep during exam and now the trip. lll orz
